  Whittney joined the Foxcroft community in July 2021 as the Dean of Inclusive Excellence. 
  
  

  Before coming to Foxcroft, Whittney resided in Oklahoma City, OK, where she worked for Heritage Hall School. During her time there, she had the enriching opportunity to work in all three divisions of the school teaching Spanish. She also served there as Associate Director of Diversity and Inclusion, where she works to implement diverse programming throughout the school as well as to serve as a sounding board for students, patrons, alumni, faculty, and staff. She started programs that connected all aspects of the community such as Charger Spotlight and Courageous Conversations, which she defines as open and honest dialogue about diversity challenges the community is facing. She also served as the Lower School Specials Team Lead, where she led the largest group of teachers on campus consistently towards common goals.
  
  

  She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish from The University of Oklahoma and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Southern Nazarene University. She is currently working on her Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership, where her dissertation is focused on how the lack of diversity and diverse programming in independent schools can have a negative impact on all students. 
  
  

  Whittney is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, the first African American Greek-lettered Sorority. Through that organization, she volunteers supporting initiatives such as Women’s Healthcare and Wellness, as well as assisting high school students in their efforts to enter college. Whittney loves spending time with her family and her sweet little dog, a Maltipoo named Milo. In her spare time, she loves reading, traveling, and learning about cultures that are different from her own. She is a sports fanatic and loves watching and cheering on her Oklahoma Sooners, Boston Celtics, OKC Thunder, and Dallas Cowboys!

  Krystyna Martin

  Read Bio

  Ms. Martin brings a unique combination of experience and skills that make her a wonderful match for this role. She is currently a College Counselor with Democracy Prep Charter Schools in Camden, NJ. In her work, she guides first-generation and low-income high school students in the college process, which includes partnering with support networks and families for success. Ms. Martin is no stranger to the transformative experience of all-girls education. Prior to her position at Democracy Prep, she was a Senior Admissions Counselor at Salem College, an all-women’s college and her alma mater. She traveled extensively for recruitment, cultivated relationships with access organizations, and developed a first-generation student orientation program among many other responsibilities. As a student at Salem College, she earned a B.A. in Sociology and a B.A. in Women’s Studies with an Advocacy concentration. Ms. Martin and her fiancé Dylan are excited to be moving to campus, and she is looking forward to building relationships with families and creating a strong culture and community.

  Katherine "Kate" Tomaskovic

  After living and teaching English abroad in Taiwan, Kate received her CELTA from the University of Cambridge before pursuing an MS.Ed in TESOL from the University of Pennsylvania. In 2014, she was awarded the Teresa Pica award for Excellence in TESOL and began her 7 year tenure teaching the TESOL Practicum course in the Graduate School of Education. She concurrently taught at Drexel University in their English Language Center as a Lead Gateway instructor for pre-matriculated international students and Academic Coordinator in special programs such as Fulbright, Panama Bilingue, and Chile Leading the Way. 
  
  

  Kate comes to Foxcroft most recently from the University of Delaware’s Academic Transitions program where she designed and instructed ESL courses for pre-matriculated international freshmen as well as continued her ESL teaching methodology work with international English teachers from Panama and Brazil.
  
  

  In her time outside the classroom, Kate enjoys salsa dancing, yoga, sampling various international cuisines, going out to breakfast with friends and family, getting outside, and watching musicals. She lives on campus in Dillon with her daughter, Maite, and their cat, Pete.
